The Boston Crews threw a surprise retirement celebration for Locomotive Engineer and Honest to Goodness Good Guy Ron Soltys on his retirement day. It's sad when a good guy who you really enjoyed working with "pulls the pin" but we're all very happy for him and wish him and his wonderful family best of luck!!!
Besides being an excellent railroad man to work with, Ronnie was also a true gentleman and a class act.

Above we see Ron and his Amtrak Angels posing with the Man of the Day.  That big stud was always quick to flash that million dollar smile. No wonder the girls all loved him.


Colleen and Hugh Jones (another good guy) seemed to have mixed emotions about Ronnie leaving.




Here's three good men. Chris Herera on the left, poses with Ron and Hugh. If I had to pick a crew I hoped to work with, this would be it. Just be careful of your hubcaps when Herera is in the neighborhood....And keep your daughters indoors as well.
