PAGE 303 - SEPTEMBER 8, 2007
Just a bunch of good guys.........
This is a once in a lifetime photo opportunity. Looking sharp as ever, Conductor Dennis Ryan fills in on Amtrak #67 due to a crew shortage. This is the second time in his career that he has put on a uniform and "worked a liner." Little did he know (or maybe he does know) what he has been missing.
Boston Conductor Tom Driscoll on the left, gives a farewell handshake to Philly Conductor Felix Diaz. It's September 4, 2007 and it's Felix's last day of service. Felix was the last Pennsylvania Railroad Conductor still working in the Northeast Corridor. It's the end of an era.
Three Good Guys!
New York - Washington Conductors Felix (left) Bill (front) and Richie on the right ham it up in the New York Penn Crew Briefing Room. Three highly skilled, very professional, consummate gentlemen and conductors. Both Felix and Bill are retiring in a few days, after decades of dedicated service to the railroad.
The best of the best indeed!
