Besides being the most loyal of friends John, you were also a great guy to work, an interesting guy to talk to, and, as always, the truest of gentlemen.
With your retirement the railroad loses a good man and we say farewell and best of luck to a true and loyal friend.
Take care John and the best of luck to you! You deserve all the best!!

Here's two of my favorite guys of all time.....Conductor
Messias on the left and the "Man of the Hour," Locomotive Engineer John Bachers
on the right. Two good men, chock full of all of the good things that make good
railroadmen and the best of friends.

The caption above could just as well apply to this photo.
John sits with another good guy, Conductor Bob Chessia.

It's Locomotive Engineer Chuck Amaru and Conductor Kay
presenting John with his very own "Olsen Twins" scrapbook and media guide,
dedicated to them talented, intelligent, brilliant, entertaining
intellectuals.....The Olsen Twins.

John cuts his cake prior to saying farewell to all of his Pals at Southampton Street Yard.
